The International Diplomatic Club “Amicability” presents a project “Art Royal Diplomacy” aimed at establishing closer connections between communities of the West and the Middle East. It will come as event to take place in Bahrain.

The first part of the event will be a gala-dinner with the presentation of the project. Then a concert with international performers will take place. The final part of the event will be charitable auction. Representatives of all countries participating in the project will present two pictures which will participate in this auction. All money raised will be directed to various charitable projects.

The project has already been supported by the representatives of two royal families, by Sheikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa from the Kingdom of Bahrain and by the Duchess of York, Sarah Margaret. During the event royal families from different countries can establish connections in order to achieve mutual understanding and work together for the sake of peace and prosperity.

In November an official visit of a Russian delegation to Bahrain took place, including members of the International Diplomatic Club “Amicability”. The President of the IDC Dr. Sergey Dvoryanov made an official speech at the event, underlining the importance of mutual understanding of all peoples and nations. In this regard the Kingdom of Bahrain can be a good example because throughout its history the country had neighbors of all faiths and beliefs and could maintain good relations with them.

 

In the Speech Dr. Dvoryanov also proposed a declaration, calling for religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence throughout the entire world. He implied that “ignorance is the enemy of peace” and that true faith can eliminate our path to peace.

Although religion was used frequently in the past to spread hatred and dissension, now religion diversity plays a uniting role not only in Bahrain, but in the whole world. It can be used as a solution for many problems and challenges of our time. It is said in the Holy Koran: “It is not the eyes that turn blind, but it is the hearts that turn blind,” - and that is what everyone should remember.

Finishing his speech, Dr. Dvoryanov invited everyone interested to London in April, 2022 to celebrate the international Day of consciousness. The International Diplomatic Club “Amicability” will be an organizer of this event, dedicated to peaceful and friendly relations between all people of the world.

С 1 октября 2021 года в Дубае открылась крупнейшая международная выставка «Дубай Экспо», площадка, открытая для представителей всех стран, чтобы показать свои научные и культурные достижения.

Международный дипломатический клуб «Amicability» в ноябре принял участие в выставке, представив проект «Moscow Marina», созданный A.R.T. Group во главе с архитектором Михаилом Тюриным и Елизаветой Морозовой. Проект подразумевает создание многофункциональной набережной возле бизнес-центра «Москва-сити». Он объединит наземную и речную инфраструктуру крупнейшего бизнес-центра России и сделает его пространство комфортнее и удобнее. «Moscow Marina» уже привлек инвестиции на сумму в 500 млн. долларов и мы желаем ему и его создателям дальнейшего развития и воплощения всех идей.

On October, 1, 2021, the great international exhibition "Dubai Expo" opened in Dubai. It is a platform opened to representatives of all countries to show their scientific and cultural achievements.

The International Diplomatic Club "Amicability" took part in the exhibition in November, presenting the project "Moscow Marina", created by A.R.T. Group headed by architect Mikhail Tyurin and Elizaveta Morozova. The project aims at creating a multifunctional embankment near the Moscow City business center. It will combine the land and river infrastructure of the largest business center in Russia and make its space more comfortable and convenient. Moscow Marina has already attracted investments in the amount of $500 million and we wish it and its creators further development and implementation of all ideas.

The International Diplomatic Club "Amicability" took part in the solemn ceremony of presenting the Sergei Weinstein Prize in honor of the anniversary of the international charitable foundation STMEGI. The ceremony was attended by President of the IDC "Amicability" Sergei Dvoryanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain Ahmed Al Saati and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel Alexander Ben Zvi.

The prize is traditionally awarded on November 15 to public figures, representatives of politics and art who have made the greatest contribution to Gorszi-Jewish culture. This year, Raim Meir, Evgenia Nazarova and Frida Yusufova received the prize, and Slavik Urilov received an honorary diploma. We congratulate all the laureates of the award and wish all peoples peace and prosperity!

Международный дипломатический клуб "Amicability" принял участие в торжественной церемонии вручения премии имени Сергея Вайнштейна в честь годовщины международного благотворительного фонда STMEGI. В церемонии приняли участие президент МДК "Amicability" Сергей Дворянов, чрезвычайный и полномочный посол королевства Бахрейн Ахмед Аль Саати и посол государства Израиль Александр Бен Цви.

Премия традиционно вручается 15 ноября общественным деятелям, представителям политики и искусства, которые сделали наибольший вклад в горско-еврейскую культуру. В этом году премию получили Раим Меир, Евгения Назарова и Фрида Юсуфова, а также почетную грамоту получил Славик Урилов. Мы поздравляем всех лауреатов премии и желаем всем народам мира и процветания!

Мей Аль Халифа - влиятельная фигура на международной арене, известная своей работой в области культуры, искусства и устойчивого развития. В 2005 году журнал Forbes включил ее в число 50 самых влиятельных женщин арабского мира. Признавая силу культуры как движущей силы устойчивого развития, Аль-Халифа возглавила инновационные проекты по развитию инфраструктуры для достижения ЦУР. Международный дипломатический клуб Amicability взял у неё интервью.

Прежде всего, мы хотели бы воспользоваться возможностью, чтобы выразить, насколько большая честь для беседовать с таким вдохновляющим и выдающимся человеком, который так много сделал для своей страны и для культурного наследия. Мы также хотел бы спросить вас, можете ли вы поделиться с нами своим впечатлением о России. Я знаю, что вы уже были в нашей стране, в частности, в Санкт-Петербурге. Каковы ваши впечатления от нашей страны?

Моим первым впечатлением были теплые и гостеприимные люди в России. Первый раз я посетила вашу страну в феврале этого года и с того момента я влюбилась в страну и в Санкт-Петербург в частности. Там у нас проходила важная выставка, в ходе которой мы показали наше наследие, наше самосознание и нашу историю. Вы знаете, что Бахрейн - очень маленький остров с богатой историей. Мы представили нашу страну в Эрмитаже, сделав акцент на эволюции страны от цивилизации Дильмун до наших дней.

Расскажите, пожалуйста, какие виды искусства сейчас популярны в Бахрейне? Насколько нам известно, Большой театр не так давно приезжал в Бахрейн в ходе гастрольного тура.

Я знаю об этом. Каждый раз, когда в нашем национальном театр приезжают такие гости, билеты сразу раскупаются.

Сотрудничали ли вы с Россией в области культурных или художественных проектов в Бахрейне?

Мы много чего планировали, но многие выставки отложили из-за пандемии. Одна из них должна была состояться в Эрмитаже. Она была посвящена жемчугу, которым славится Бахрейн. Надеюсь, в следующем году мы сможем её организовать.

Мы тоже. В связи с этим вопрос, каким вы видите культурное взаимодействие между странами в период пандемии?

Мы стараемся продолжать деятельность сейчас через социальные сети и встречи, если они возможны. Мы стараемся продолжать деятельность по всем проектам, но хотя через социальные сети мы можем общаться с множеством людей, это сильно отличается от того, что было раньше. Нам больше нравится быть рядом с людьми и получать удовольствие от их присутствия на наших мероприятиях.

Благодаря стратегически удачному расположению Бахрейн всегда был международным центром торговли и межкультурного диалога. Учитывая эти факты, как бы вы описали роль Бахрейна в продвижении своей культуры и, возможно, даже мультикультурализма в Персидском заливе, а также и за его пределами?

С древних времен мы считали Бахрейн открытой страной, на протяжении всего времени Бахрейн был открыт для всех и давал каждому возможность поделиться своими идеями, обменяться ими с народом Бахрейна.

Каким образом сосуществуют межрелигиозный и межконфессиональный диалог в Бахрейне, и есть ли какое-либо сотрудничество с международными организациями в этой области?

Конечно, сотрудничество очень развито, например, на прошлой неделе у нас была выставка из Санкт-Петербурга, а на этой - у нас выставка ювелирных изделий в Италии. Все они привлекают много гостей, поэтому я могу сказать, что у нас всегда много активности в культурной сфере. Моя организация также привлекает много людей, а также важно отметить, что люди из разных стран приезжают в Бахрейн, чтобы читать лекции на разные темы.

Говоря об университетах и институтах, что вы думаете об интересе молодого поколения к культуре Бахрейна и что бы вы хотели им сказать?

Mai Al Khalifa is an influential international figure known for her work in the field of culture, art and sustainable development. She was listed as one of the 50 most influential women in the Arab World by Forbes Magazine in 2005. Acknowledging the power of culture as a driver of sustainable development, Al Khalifa has spearheaded innovative projects to develop infrastructure to deliver on the SDGs. The International Diplomatic Club Amicability interviewed her.

First of all I'd like to take this opportunity to express how honored we are to have such an inspiring and prominent figure here that done so much for his country and for the cultural heritage. I'd also like to ask you if you can share with us your impression of Russia. I know that you've already visited our country, Saint Petersburg, to be precise. What is your impression of our country?

My first impression were warm and welcome people. I visited Russia in this Februar. Since the first visit i have fallen in love with the country and with St. Petersburg in particular, because we had an important exhibition there representing our heritage, our identity and our history. You know that Bahrain is a very small island with rich history. We presented our country at Hermitage, focusing on evolution of the country from Dilmun civilization to modern days.

Can you please tell us what forms of arts are popular now in Bahrain? We know that's at the Bolshoi theater has been on tour in Bahrain not so long ago.

I know about the tour. Whenever we have such an issue in our national theatre the tickets are immediately sold out.

Did you have any other collaborations with Russian cultural or art projects in Bahrain?

We had a lot but we posponed a lot of them because of the pandemic. One of them supposed to be in Hermitage and focused on pearls which Bahrain is famous for. I hope we will be able to arrange it the next year.

We too. And how do you see cultural interaction between our countries during the post covid erа?

We try to continue activities now through social media and meeting, if possible. We try to continue all projects, but although through social media we can connect to a lot of people, it is very different from what was before. We like more to be close to the people and to enjoy having them at our events.

As a result of strategically good location tBahrain has always been an international hub for trade and for multicultural dialogue. Considering these facts how would you describe the role of Bahrain in promoting its culture and maybe even multiculturalism within the gulf and even beyond it?

From the ancient times we considered Bahrain as open country, throughout the time Bahrain has been opened to everyone and has given everyone the chance to deliver their ideas, to mix with the people of Bahrain.

How does interreligious an interfaith dialogue coexist in Bahrain and are there any cooperation with International organizations in this field?

Of course there is a lot of cooperation, exhibitions at museums, for example, last week there was an exhibition from Sain-Petersburg, this week we are having a jewelery exhibition in Italy. They all attract a lot of guests, so I can say there is always something happening in our cultural field. My organisation also attracts many people, and it is important to mention that people from different countries visit Bahrain to give lectures on different topics.

Talking about universities and Colleges, what is your view on the younger Generation's interest in culture of Bahrain and what is your message to them?

I believe in young generation and I would always like to encourage them to open doors to other people, to mix and to promote their own country, because it is our mission to develop new infrastructure for cultural activity.

May I ask a little bit personal question, what is the secret of your beauty?

I think, hard work, travelling and having target of your life makes one forget about their age.

Have you always known that you will be involved in political activities?

It just came naturally, I didn't target this kind of work, it happened because i started research about my grandfather, I published a book, then second one, then I started my first cultural project and soon I was offered to be the part of an official department responsible for the sector of culture and geritage. From that my story started.

So can we tell that you are following your family tradition?

Definetely.

You have written so many books. You write a lot, tell me how much time do you spend on it?

It was all my life and took all my time. When I started working in Bahrain it took me ten years to publish seven books, one of them was about my great grandfather and I wrote it for three years. This was the only thing I concentrated on, I didn't have any social life and focused only on researches. Then I established my Centre, it completely took me away from writing because of the other activities. Right now I'm writing again a book dedicated to the celebration of the 20th anniversary of our centre. Today I don't spend all my time on writing as it was before, now I wake up about 5 o'clock in the morning and spend two hours on it. I think now I have to tell something to people who will continue my work, my mission when I go.

And the last and a bit provocative question. What is more important, social life or a woman's life?

I don't see the difference. I am happy with myself. And I don't have position between these two brackets. I don't wear another mask to go to the office. I can remember beautiful words of the previous emir who told me to be myself and not to be afraid of it.

26 октября 2021 года МДК «Amicability» принял участие IV Израильских чтениях по случаю празднования 30-летия дипломатических отношений России и Израиля. Вечер был организован при поддержке посольства Израиля и организации «Натив», ответственной за укрепление и развитие связей с еврейской диаспорой. Вечер прошел в исторической части Москвы, в Московском Императорском Яхт-клубе, при поддержке группы «Гута» и фабрики «Красный Октябрь».

В начале вечера посол Израиля, Александр Бен-Цви, прочел отрывок из рассказа И.А. Бунина «Солнечный удар» на иврите. Господин посол сам перевел этот текст еще в далеких 80-х годах и даже получил премию как переводчик. Те из присутствующих, кто знали иврит, смогли по достоинству оценить перевод. А затем актер Анатолий Белый прочитал оригинал, тот же отрывок по-русски, и своим мастерским исполнением погрузил присутствующих в атмосферу театральной гостиной.

Далее известные российские актеры театра и кино - Анатолий Белый, Ксения Раппопорт, Александр Раппопорт, Ольга Сутулова – читали короткие рассказы известных израильских авторов. Каждый актер сам выбрал рассказ для чтения, который больше всего понравился – потому в программе оказались и смешные, и грустные, и патетичные, и лиричные произведения. Среди авторов рассказов были Орли Кастель-Блюм, Савьен Либрехт, Шмуэль-Йосеф Агнон и Этгар Керет. На вечере также выступил джазовый пианист, композитор и продюсер, народный артист России Даниил Крамер. Все присутствующие на несколько часов оказались в русско-израильской музыкально-литературной гостиной и насладились прекрасным чтением и музыкой.
В конце вечера гостей ждал праздничный фуршет и нетворкинг.

On October 26th, 2021, the International Diplomatic Club"Amicability" took part in the IV Israeli Readings on the occasion of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Israel. The evening was organized with the support of the Israeli Embassy and the Nativ organization, which is responsible for strengthening and developing ties with the Jewish diaspora. The evening was held in the historical part of Moscow, at the Moscow Imperial Yacht Club, with the support of the Guta group and the Red October factory.

At the beginning of the evening the Ambassador of Israel to Russia, Alexander Ben-Zvi read an excerpt from the story of I.A. Bunin "Sunstroke" in Hebrew. Mr. Ambassador translated this text back in the distant 80s himself and even received an award as a translator. People who know Hebrew were able to fully appreciate the translation. Then the actor Anatoly Bely read the original, the same passage in Russian, and with his masterful performance immersed guests in the atmosphere of the theatrical living room.

The evening went on to famous Russian theater and film actors‘ performance - Anatoly Bely, Ksenia Rappoport, Alexander Rappoport and Olga Sutulova read short stories by famous Israeli authors. Each actor himself chose a story which he liked the most to read- therefore, the program included funny and sad, pathetic and lyrical works. Authors of the stories included Orly Castel-Blum, Savien Liebrecht, Shmuel-Yosef Agnon, and Etgar Keret. Jazz pianist, composer and producer, People's Artist of Russia Daniil Kramer also performed at the evening. Every guest found themselves in the Russian-Israeli musical and literary club for several hours and enjoyed wonderful reading and music.
At the end of the evening, a festive buffet table and networking awaited the guests.
