Vladimir Pirozhok, a famous Russian film producer, member of the Russian Film Producers Guild, founder of the GALERIA group of companies, permanent Chairman of the Board of Directors, visited Mumbai as an honorary delegate of the team of the most influential Russian filmmakers under the patronage of the Moscow government. BCMF (BRICS Cultural Media Forum), led by Global President Dr. Jaan Nissar Lone, has entered into a memorandum of cooperation with GALERIA group on a number of film projects. One of the global and historically popular projects was the creation of a joint Russian-Indian full-length feature film with the working title “Foreigner”.
This vivid historical painting, which is based on real events, can become a new starting point in the history of relations between the two countries.
Vladimir Pirozhok shared his vision of the mission of the film project “Foreigner” as follows: “We see that in the history of relations between two great states and two ancient civilizations - Russia and India - there has always been complete mutual understanding, respect and love. We have a lot in common and the union of our two countries is hope for all humanity. The film language of the film “The Foreigner” has a special magic. This is a film about a film and it is a film about the history of personal relationships between the leaders of two great states. The plot is so unique and fascinating that we just expect a boom during the rental
The film reconstructs a unique episode in the history of world civilization, when in 1955-1957 the great INDIA, liberated after 200 years of colonization, and RUSSIA, which defeated fascism, united in friendship and brotherhood.
The author of the idea is actor, director ALEXANDER Strizhenov, the son of the leading actor of the original film FOREIGNER, the only witness of those events OLEG Strizhenov, who celebrates his 95th birthday this August.
BCMF Communications Director Dr. Sergei Dvoryanov also commented on the Foreigner project: “Russia and India are cultural superpowers. Today, the main weapon of any country is not military equipment, but culture, ideology, and the spiritual identity of the nation. The plot of the film shows us not only a retrospective of the relations between the two countries, but also lifts the veil of secrecy about many events of the twentieth century, when India gained its independence."
Dr. Jaan Nissar Lone gave his conclusion on cooperation between Russia and India in the cultural sphere: “Russia and India are members of the BRICS interstate alliance. The economic potential of these two countries is incredibly high. However, we see that in the cultural sphere the dynamics of cooperation are not as high as the leaders and peoples of our two countries would like. The task of BCMF is to give a powerful impetus to interaction in the cultural sphere and the implementation of the “Foreigner” project will become an event that has long been awaited not only by the film community but also by everyone who believes in the spiritual potential of our countries.”
